Grandma's 80th Birthday Cake Smash | Fredericksburg VA Cake Smash Photographer

First Off Id like to give a big shout out to the birthday girl!!!!! I can only hope I'm as cool, good looking and as adventures as she is when i reach the ripe ole age of 80!! this session has been in my mind for a little over a year! I just wasnt sure who would be the perfect canidate at the time. While at the beach a few weeks ago with family and grandma, it was like a light build went off!! Duh she's turning 80 in September, and she would be the most perfect milestone birthday model ever!!! And I was right!! Plus with so much negativity going on in our community, i thought who wouldn't love a hip granny digging into a cake, dressed in a tutu and chugging chamgine for their 80th birthday!!! Count me in!!!!

I was so surprised that when i googled grandma cake smash, granny smash, milestone smash..... Nothing came up!! So we had to get real creative! I had a million different ideas going on in my head on how to make this setup monumental for her and eye catching, however after narrowing it down i thought to myself, why not do it like all my other cake smashes!! So thats what we did, We decided on the colors and a basic theme and I let the rest be a surprise for when she got here! Little did i know, she had a little surprise for me as well! She knew in my vision i really wanted her in a white tulle tutu type skirt and we had a really hard time finding one that was fitting for the setup and not to vavavoom and wouldn't you know it, grandma shows up to her smash with a beautiful white tulle skirt made with love by no other then herself!!!  This session is truly near and dear to my heart and I hope it makes your day or at least make you chuckle!!!
